Project Manager Structured Cabling/Telecommunications

Project Manager – Telecommunications / Structured Cabling

T.I.S. Network – Swinton, Manchester
Full-time | Office-based

About T.I.S.

T.I.S. Networks is an established, family-run business specialising in structured cabling, fibre optic and network infrastructure installations.

With over 40 years in the industry, we have built long-standing relationships with our customers and have a small, experienced and close-knit team.

We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and supportive working environment where people are trusted to do their jobs well and are valued as individuals. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of life outside of work and believe in maintaining a genuine work-life balance for our team.

We're now looking for a Project Manager to join us and become an important part of the business, managing projects and developing strong, lasting relationships with our customers.

What it's like to work with us

We're a small team, so you'll work closely with the directors, office team and engineers rather than being one person within a large corporate structure.

We offer a stable and relaxed working environment while still taking pride in delivering a professional service to our customers. You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, build relationships with customers and see projects through from enquiry to completion.

We're looking for someone who wants to settle into a business, get to know our customers and become a long-term member of the team.

The role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our office-based team and take responsibility for managing structured cabling and infrastructure projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

A large part of the role is about people and relationships. You'll be a key point of contact for our customers, so we're looking for someone who is approachable, organised and takes pride in providing a good level of service.

You'll work closely with our engineers, customers and suppliers to make sure projects are properly planned, communicated and delivered.

Responsibilities/requirements will include:

• Managing customer enquiries and ongoing projects
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Preparing quotations and project costs
• Planning and scheduling engineers
• Ordering materials and coordinating suppliers
• Reviewing drawings and customer requirements
• Coordinating works with customers and site contacts
• Keeping customers updated throughout their projects
• Monitoring project costs and progress
• Dealing with changes or issues as they arise
• Ensuring project documentation is completed
• Supporting projects through to completion and handover
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Confident using a PC and standard Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• ECS/CSCS
• SMSTS

About you

We're looking for someone who is dependable, personable and comfortable taking ownership of their work.

You don't need to be someone who thrives on constant pressure. We'd much rather find someone who is organised, consistent and good with people.

Ideally, you'll have experience in project management within structured cabling, telecommunications or a similar technical industry.

You'll be someone who can communicate confidently with customers, engineers and suppliers and who understands the importance of following things through rather than letting enquiries or actions go unanswered.

What we offer

As a small family-run company, we can offer something a little different from a large corporate environment.

You'll be joining an established business where you're known as an individual rather than an employee number, and where there is a genuine emphasis on having a sensible balance between work and home life.

We offer:

• Monday–Friday working
• A genuine focus on work-life balance
• Friendly, informal working environment
• Small and supportive team
• Established family-run business
• No corporate culture or unnecessary bureaucracy
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Pension
• Free parking

This is a permanent position and we're looking for someone who would like to become a long-term part of the business
