A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join an established law firm in Portsmouth. Working as part of a busy and friendly Property team, you will provide key support to Fee Earners across a varied commercial property caseload.

Working closely with Fee Earners, you will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support across a varied portfolio of commercial property matters.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting Fee Earners with a varied commercial property caseload.
• Opening new files and matters on the firm's Case Management system.
• Preparing client care letters.
• Drafting correspondence, documents and precedents on behalf of Fee Earners.
• Submitting property searches and assisting with reports on search results and title documentation.
• Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications.
• Assisting with completions and post-completion formalities.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors and other relevant parties to ensure matters progress smoothly and Fee Earners are kept up to date.
• Audio typing from digital dictation.
• Managing diaries and arranging client and departmental meetings using Outlook.
• Providing general administrative and legal support to the Property team as required.

You will ideally have:
• At least 1 year’s legal secretarial or legal assistant experience within Property.
• Experience supporting commercial property matters.
• Strong legal administration and secretarial skills.
• Experience with audio typing and digital dictation systems.
• Previous experience using a Case Management system.

• Salary depending on experience - £25,000 +
