Location: Ely (CB6) and Cambridge (CB24)
Work Type: 11-month fixed term contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (hybrid working - at least 2 days a week in Ely and 1 day a week in Cambridge)
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

We're looking for a Junior Buyer to join a fast-paced Supply Chain team on an 11-month fixed-term contract.
You'll support day-to-day purchasing, supplier management and procurement analysis, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

Responsibilities:

Manage purchase orders, expediting, returns and supplier queries
Support RFIs, RFQs, supplier sourcing and benchmarking
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships and monitor performance
Analyse purchasing, cost, inventory and supplier data, producing reports and dashboards
Work with engineering and other stakeholders to resolve supply and quality issues
Support supplier onboarding, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement
Identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency and supply chain performance

Requirements:

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar role
Experience with purchase orders and supplier management
Good commercial awareness and strong communication skills
Experience using an ERP system, ideally NetSuite or similar
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
Strong Excel and analytical skills%3B Power BI experience is desirable
CIPS or similar qualification is desirable
