Key Responsibilities

As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to help lead the kitchen and deliver consistently high standards.

Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Leading the kitchen team during service when required

Preparing and cooking fresh, seasonal dishes to a high standard

Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards

Supporting ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation

Contributing ideas to menus and food development

Supporting weddings, events and busy service periods

Training and supporting junior members of the kitchen team

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef who is confident working in a busy kitchen and enjoys leading a team.

Previous experience at Sous Chef level or as an experienced Chef de Partie ready for the next step

A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food

Strong organisation and communication skills

Someone who is hands-on, reliable and leads by example

Confidence supporting and leading a kitchen team

A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Your own transport is essential, as the venue is in a rural location and reliable travel to the site is required
