Colmore Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child with ASD and ADHD in a school setting in Redditch.

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will:

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD and ADHD.
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Help develop confidence, independence and positive social skills.
• Adapt activities and learning materials to meet the pupil's individual needs.
• Support with behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals.
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Follow the school's safeguarding and SEND policies.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and/or ADHD.
• Is patient, calm, nurturing and resilient.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
• Understands the importance of consistency and clear boundaries.
• Is proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar role is highly desirable.
