Service Manager

Apricus Resourcing are working closely with specialist Drug & Alcohol Recovery Charity who are looking to hire a Registered Manager on a Temp-To-Perm basis, based at their service in Yarnton, Oxfordshire working in an all-female service.

Ideally you will of worked as a Service Manager previously, however, the service are happy to consider applicants who have worked at a Deputy Management level that are looking for that next step in their career.

In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the drug and alcohol services, ensuring that high standards of care and support are consistently met. Responsibilities include managing staff, developing and implementing service strategies, and liaising with external agencies to enhance service delivery.

Key Duties

• Lead and assist in the management of services delivered by the teams in your area.
• Ensure all service users receive appropriate and quality assessments, action plans to support recovery & independent living
• Develop and implement a business plan for your services in conjunction with senior management.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to develop and expand services in line with the Regional/Area Business Plans.
• Ensure high quality support is provided through effective needs assessment, interventions, risk assessment and support planning and implement a structured programme of meaningful activities.
• Manage, mentor, coach and ensure the development of staff reporting to you, including volunteers. This includes involvement in delivering appropriate training, recruitment, induction, monitoring performance, managing absence and appraisals/supervisions.
• Manage the budgets attached to your services in conjunction with the Finance Team ensuring that financial targets are met.
• Support and ensure effective systems are in place for monitoring and recording all aspects of the service(s) directed by the contract.
• Analyse information and utilise analysis to continuously improve the service.
• Work closely with Operations Manager and other senior stakeholders
• Implement financial and administrative control systems and operate within agreed budgets

Strong leadership skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to motivate and support a diverse team. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also crucial, enabling the successful candidate to effectively manage resources and coordinate with various stakeholders.You will also need to demonstrate understanding the challenges faced by women suffering with alcohol & substance misuse addiction.

Due to the nature of the service they are only able to consider female applicants.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5 - you will also be required to be on a on call rota x10 times per month which may include occasional weekends

The salary for the permanent post is £46,000 per year + Benefits, Pension & achievable bonus structure up to 8% per annum.
