Technical Sales Representative

Forget the corporate sales jargon and the slick, polished pitch. Our client isn’t looking for a textbook salesperson who relies on scripts. They need an industry insider. Someone who speaks the language of scaffolding, formwork, and temporary works, knows how sites actually operate, and already has the local connections to open doors across the Midlands.

Working for a global, market-leading manufacturer of engineered structural systems, your job isn't to push products blindly. It’s about walking onto sites or into offices, talking peer-to-peer with decision-makers, understanding their project headaches, and matching them with top-tier solutions. If you are deeply embedded in the scaffolding or construction sector and want a heavily autonomous role on the road where your industry credibility is your biggest asset, this is it.

What the Role Involves:

• Door Opening & Relationship Building: Use your existing industry network and credibility to get in front of regional contractors, sub-contractors, and infrastructure project managers.
• Peer-to-Peer Consultation: Talk technically and practically with site managers and engineers to understand their temporary works requirements and build lasting trust.
• Territory & Pipeline Ownership: Manage and expand the business footprint across the Midlands, turning casual construction conversations into long-term commercial accounts.
• Deal Negotiation: Handle commercial agreements, pricing structures, and project discounts within company financial guidelines.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with internal technical and design teams to deliver profitable, cost-effective product layouts that solve your clients' real-world site problems.

What You Need to Bring:

• Deep Scaffolding or Formwork Expertise: You must thoroughly understand the scaffolding, falsework, or temporary works industry. You know how the gear works and how projects are put together.
• The Ability to Talk the Talk: You don't need a formal sales background, but you do need the confidence to network, knock on doors, build rapport quickly, and talk peer-to-peer with site personnel and procurement teams.
• Active Midlands Connections: An established network or the proven ability to easily navigate the Midlands construction and infrastructure market.
• On-the-Road Autonomy: Highly self-motivated and comfortable spending roughly 70% of your week out on the road visiting sites and clients across the region.
• Driving License: A full, valid UK driving license is essential.

What’s on Offer:

• Competitive base salary paired with a strong performance bonus scheme.
• Premium company car / vehicle allowance suitable for extensive regional travel.
• Comprehensive product, technical, and commercial training to back your existing knowledge.
• Long-term career security and progression with a globally renowned market leader
