History & Humanities Teacher Opportunity – Havering

Education First is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated History and Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in Havering.

This is a maternity cover position starting in January, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a supportive secondary school and deliver engaging History and Humanities lessons.

The Role

As a History and Humanities Teacher, your responsibilities may include:

Planning and delivering engaging History and Humanities lessons

Teaching across the relevant secondary year groups

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs

Managing behaviour effectively

Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

Preparing pupils for assessments and examinations

Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from teachers who have:

QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification

Experience teaching History or Humanities within a secondary school

Strong subject knowledge

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to engage and motivate pupils

A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
