Location: City of London
Base Salary: £40,000 - £60,000+ depending on experience
Working Arrangement: Hybrid – office and home working available from the outset ( 1 day home 4 days office)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Real Estate Account Executive to join a well-established and growing independent insurance broker based in the City of London.

The business has built a strong reputation within the property and real estate insurance market and is looking for an experienced professional who can build strong client relationships, develop existing accounts and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Account Executive who enjoys working closely with clients and wants the autonomy to manage relationships, identify opportunities and develop business, rather than simply managing an existing book.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of Real Estate clients, using your market knowledge and insurance expertise to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of Real Estate clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, understanding their business and insurance requirements.
Identify opportunities to develop and grow existing client accounts.
Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals and existing market relationships.
Prepare and present insurance solutions tailored to individual client requirements.
Negotiate with insurers and place risks effectively within the London insurance market.
Maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients and other market contacts.
Ensure clients receive a high level of service throughout the insurance lifecycle.
Keep up to date with developments within the Real Estate and wider commercial insurance markets.
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Real Estate team.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Proven experience as an Account Executive within the commercial insurance market.

A strong background in Real Estate / Property insurance.

A good understanding of the London insurance market and insurer relationships.

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and the ability to understand and assess client requirements.

Demonstrable experience in client relationship management and account development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

A commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Excellent organisation and time-management skills.

The ability to work independently and take ownership of client relationships and opportunities.

A proactive and professional approach to client service.

Confidence dealing with clients, insurers and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

A CII qualification or progress towards CII qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered.

The Person

We are looking for someone who is relationship-focused, commercially aware and knowledgeable about the Real Estate insurance market.

You will be someone who enjoys speaking with clients, understanding their businesses and finding the right insurance solutions for their needs. You should be confident working autonomously while also being a collaborative member of the wider team.
