About the Company

Our client is a respected and growing Fire Safety Consultancy delivering Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Safety Consultancy, Fire Strategies and compliance services across a diverse range of commercial, residential and public sector environments.

Due to continued growth and expansion within the South East, they are looking to appoint an experienced Fire Risk Assessor or Lead Fire Risk Assessor to play a key role in the development of their regional presence.

The Role

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for undertaking Fire Risk Assessments across a wide range of property types throughout the South East.

In addition to conducting your own assessments, you will support quality assurance processes through the review and validation of Fire Risk Assessments completed by colleagues. As the team grows, there will also be opportunities to mentor and support junior assessors.

This role offers a mixture of home working, site visits and collaboration with colleagues across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of building types and purpose groups.

Produce detailed, high-quality reports and recommendations.

Review, validate and quality check Fire Risk Assessments where appropriate.

Provide practical fire safety advice to clients.

Support the development and mentoring of junior assessors.Manage your own workload and diary efficiently.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, standards and industry guidance.Build and maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements

Essential

MIFSM membership (Intermediate or Advanced level).
Level 4 Fire Safety Diploma or equivalent recognised qualification.
Minimum 3 years' experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments.
Strong technical understanding across a variety of building types.
Experience carrying out assessments across residential, commercial and public sector premises.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel throughout the South East with occasional overnight stays.

Desirable

NFRAR Registration.

Knowledge of Building Regulations Approved Document B.

Understanding of BS9999.

Experience validating Fire Risk Assessments.Previous mentoring, training or quality assurance experience.
