Senior Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established company providing specialist residential care for children and young people with complex needs.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be providing direct care and taking a senior role in the day-to-day running of the home, while supporting the development of the wider care team.
This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £30,000 plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits. No sponsorship provided.
We are also seeking a Residential Support Worker with salary of £26,000 plus £60 per sleep-in.
You will be responsible for

Providing day-to-day care and support to children with learning disabilities, maintaining their safety, dignity and wellbeing
Taking a lead role in the daily operation of the home and supporting management decisions
Planning and engaging children in activities, play, cooking and community-based activities
Supervising and supporting members of the care team
Assisting with shift planning and team development
Supporting children with their educational and health needs
Completing household, health and safety and general maintenance tasks
Maintaining individual risk assessments and ensuring they are followed
Acting as a key worker for allocated children

The candidates from the following background will be considered:

Senior Residential Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Senior Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Childcare Worker, Children’s Support Worker, Care worker, Keyworker, Care Assistant or in a similar role.

What we are looking for

Prior experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People qualification
A genuine commitment to supporting and nurturing children and young people
A full UK manual driving licence
