Computer Science Teacher

Computer Science Teacher – Southwark | Immediate Start

A high-performing secondary school in Southwark is recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for an immediate start. This is an 11–19 setting where computing forms part of a broad academic curriculum from Year 7, giving the successful teacher the chance to develop pupils’ knowledge from the foundations upwards. The school was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in 2024, with the same judgement awarded for quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, and leadership and management. The post is open to teachers across the Main and Upper Pay Scales, making it suitable for an ECT or an experienced practitioner looking for an established Inner London school.

Professional development is taken seriously here rather than treated as an occasional inset-day exercise. Staff, including teachers at the beginning of their careers, benefit from ongoing training and work within a close-knit, reflective professional culture. Leaders place clear emphasis on developing classroom practice while ensuring teachers have the support needed to manage workload effectively. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will therefore join a setting where subject knowledge, teaching quality and longer-term career development receive sustained attention.
