Vehicle Conversion Technician Engineer Hours and Benefits

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays

This role is commutable from the following areas: Derby, Nottingham, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield, Chesterfield.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Role Overview

You will be developing and installing specialist equipment across a range of vehicles.

You'll combine vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication, power tools and equipment installation, working closely with the design team to develop and validate new conversion kits.

A practical, mechanically minded approach and a knack for solving problems and making things work is essential.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Candidate Requirements

• Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering information (CAD experience is useful, but not essential)
• Knowledge of vehicle construction, components and functionality
• A practical, logical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and Microsoft Office skills
• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Vehicle Conversion Technician Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits
• Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture
• Check, maintain and validate engineering data
• Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment
• Produce clear technical documentation and installation information
• Support parts, kit and development activities
