The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Assistant to support a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established international organisation offering valuable experience, hybrid working, and potential long-term career progression.

You'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts across European ledgers.
• Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone and email.
• Follow established collection processes and procedures.
• Prepare reports on account status and collection activity.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to resolve queries.
• Support continuous improvement projects within accounts receivable.
• Assist with general administration duties.
• Provide cover and support across the wider team when required.

What We're Looking For

• 1-2 years' experience in accounts receivable, finance administration, credit control, or a similar role.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Confident telephone and email communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent), or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
• French language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
