CNC Programmer Setter

£18 - £20/annum

Family-run, leading CAD/CAM tooling solutions company, established 80 years, seeks a CNC Programmer/Setter (Offline) to program and set a wide variety of tooling. Joining a long-serving team who are passionate about providing a first-class service to their customers, you will be responsible for creating high-quality offline programmes, whilst providing a personal, hands-on approach to each tool manufactured.
The successful candidate must be an experienced hyperMILL (OPEN MIND) user. You should be self- motivated, able to work independently and willing to make your own decisions on how best to machine a job. Please note that other CAM software packages (such as PowerMILL) are not transferable for this role. Offered as a permanent contract, the role of CNC Programmer/Setter offers market competitive salary plus overtime opportunities and immediate start available.
CNC Programmer/Setter duties include:

Create high-quality offline milling programs exclusively using hyperMILL software for 3-axis and 5-axis machines
Program and set a wide variety of tooling in a range of different materials such as tooling board models, aluminium moulds & tools, cast-iron patterns and coreboxes
Be responsible for your own dedicated hyperMILL offline workstation (utilising the company's newly expanded license seat)
Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all tooling
Develop CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specification
Interpreting project blueprints

Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Programmer/Setter

Hands-on experience creating offline programs using hyperMILL
Comprehensive understanding of multi-axis machining – the company’s 3-axis machines run on Heidenhain controls and the 5-axis machines run on Fanuc controls
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
Able to work under pressure
Have the skills & capabilities to work to the required standards
Be adaptable and be willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines

Location: Willenhall, West Midlands
Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday
Salary: £18 to £20 per hour – dependent upon experience
Overtime: Available time and a third during the week/time and a half on Saturdays
