We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven QC Laboratory Technician to ensure everything that enters and leaves our site meets the highest standards.
You’ll play a critical role in keeping operations safe, compliant, and running like clockwork.

Commutable from Wigan, Bolton, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Leigh, Skelmersdale, Eccleston, Ormskirk, St Helen’s and Newton-le-Willows
Duties

• Drive timely product testing across in-process and final specifications
• Prepare and manage pre-shipment samples with accurate documentation
• Test incoming raw materials to maintain quality from the start
• Support R&D and development projects when required
• Maintain and follow equipment calibration schedules
• Deliver training on test methods to operators and team members
• Provide clear process adjustment instructions to production teams
• Complete inspections, testing, and quality documentation efficiently
• Identify non-conforming materials/processes and take corrective action
• Escalate issues promptly to the Senior QC Chemist or QC Manager
• Support specification and process changes when required
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints and process failures
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented quickly

Requirements

• Qualification in Chemistry
• Calibration experience
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Confident communicator who can liaise across teams
• Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
• Experience in a QC or laboratory environment
