About the Role

We are looking for a confident, proactive and approachable School Receptionist to join a busy school immediately. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, providing a friendly, professional and efficient reception service.

You will need to be capable, organised and confident using school administration systems, particularly Arbor, and able to quickly pick up new processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, friendly and professional welcome to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
• Manage the school reception area and act as the first point of contact.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to enquiries appropriately.
• Manage visitor signing-in procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Use Arbor and other school systems confidently to update and access information.
• Support with pupil attendance and absence records.
• Assist with general school administration and data entry.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, staff and external visitors.
• Deal confidently and sensitively with queries and day-to-day issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide general administrative support to the school office as required.
